Most of the big chunks of crap were on the cams and cam caps, I got all of that out of there and its going back together now. At this point I feel like I have to do something about it, I'd rather have leaks than an engine with sludge so i'm going to my friends shop about 2 miles from my house that can do a full engine flush with the car turned off. I feel like I can trust him enough to know that my car will be fine afterwards.

Thanks for everyones opinions, had no idea this would turn into a heated debate.

You have made a wise choice grasshopper. Let us know how everything turns out. Make sure he adjusts the valves afterward.
