I got this from Home Depot around $20 each. I can make 4 filters out of it.

I think bitkahuna has a DIY for this somewhere as well.

They call them "stealerships" for a reason.

I was at the toyota store for a family members car and the service writer sold the guy next to me a new filter for his car. The price? $50 plus installation. They brought the old filter over to him to show how dirty the air he was breathing in was. They really made it seem like this old guy was gonna die if he didn't change it right away. haha

They did that so they can steal from Lexus Corporate, just incredible

I would think twice before taking my car to that dealership. Very unethical on thier part

I wouldnt blame you or anything, but im just suprised THEY would do that to make some money.

It's called a goodwill gesture and I wouldn't complain for a second.

I know a used car dealership friend down in FL who says he as well as most dealerships in the area is obligated to rollback mileages on pretty much every car that gets sold at an auction. To the average consumer, this may sound terrifying, but to the dealership's eyes, it's their way to get more dollar out of vehicles to be sold.

they didn't actually tamper with his odometer, they just changed it in their system. Are you talking about dealers actually changing the odo? Is it possible to electronically change the miles on our odos?

I wouldn’t mind it, but what they did is alter his mileage in their system so Lexus would pay for the new parts.

If they would do that to Lexus corporate, just think about what they might be doing to your car while its there, from stealing parts, to not performing the work they charged you for.

Default Re: cabin air filter

I order all oil and air filters, engine/cabin from IRONTOAD. I can buy oil filters from the local Toyota dealer for close to the same price as IRONTOAD, but not air and cabin filters.
