Possible oil leak, what should i do?

im a noob so.

I recently bought a 1995 es300. everything under the hood was clean as a whistle. after about 2 month, which is now, ive noticed oil leaks from the engine block. this car has done 185000 KM, so thats around 110,000 miles.

Theres a plastic or aluminium cover thats has the lexus label above the engine block, and in under that, between the seals which is held together by nuts n bolts im guessing is filled with dried up engine oil, it appears it has dried up, preventing further leaking.

The oil leak isnt major at all, no drips on the ground etc, fuel economy is ok i guess, 8km/Litre. very little amount of oil, like a few drops worth has been running down the engine block, along with the seals thats been clogged by dried up engine oil.

i mean, is this normal for a car that has done so much, i do have a year warranty on engine and transmission. but im not sure if this is a problem that we just get with or is it something more complex, like failure of some major component. if so, would it be covered under warranty, i mean everythings running good, excellent idle, smooth acceleration, quiet.

thanks guys

btw im from australia.

Most likely the gasket is worn out and leaking. Since you have the warranty, go get it fixed. :)

umm, how much would a new gasket cost, minus labour.

The valve cover gasket cost around $20.00 each( you'll need 2 of them) and the labor is 4.3 hrs to do both banks.
