What is the OEM oil in the A/C Compressor?

Hi,

Does anyone know what type of oil is in the A/C compressor for the SC400? Does Lexus sell it?
Part #?

Thanks.

It's a PAG oil, known as ND Oil 8

Pretty common spec for Japanese A/C compressors. I should think any good parts place can get it, nothing special.

it's a DEC PAG 46 ISO viscosity also used in Ford(Visteon), some Delphi(GM), and almost all Denso/Sanden/Zexel/Valeo compressors.

I beleive ND8 is for newer models, i beleive the older models use ND6...

Thanks guys.

Isn't PAG oil for R-134a systems, though? Our car is a 93 SC400 and it still has the Schrader valves on the high/low ports.

What do you think?

R12 compressors use ND Oil 6, it's just a special mineral oil for auto HVAC, Ford and Chrysler also used the same oil in their Denso compressors.
