Default A/C blower not working, 97 es300

I started the car the other day in a cold morning and all of a sudden the air wouldn't come out at all
the little bars are on full force but nothing...when I play with the settings ( top, top/bottom/, floor ect..) I can hear a small noise, like somthing mechanically trying to work

It sounds to me that the compressor for the A/C unit may have crapped out, that's my gut feeling. I'm gonna move this to Maintenance where it belongs.

You need to check for 12 volts at the blower motor when you turn the fan on. It's located under the glove box and you don't have to remove the glove, just remove the black plastic trim cover and you will see the blower motor.

You have to use a volt/ohm meter to check for power at the connector. If you have 12 volts going in the blower motor, but the blower doesn't work then you'll need a new blower motor.

I have this same exact problem, though unfortunately it has not turned on by itself like for gato. I've tried the diagnostic check for the A/C. Seems to be no problems there. Does anyone know which exact fuse or fuses to look at before I attempt to check the blower motor unit itself? It has been like this for several weeks now as I've been procrastinating on trying to fix this myself.
