Is it at all possible to clean the plastic trim around the navigator screen without getting scratches? I haven't dared touch the "glass" on the clock but it looks to be the same material.

I have cleaned my navigator screen a couple of times with a very soft cloth and every time I've put more scratches on the trim around it.

From most angles the scratches are not that visible. I had a tough time catching them with the camera. But from the right angle and with the right light they are very visible and then it looks like *****.

try putting some electric tape on it or something. Trim it to perfect size. When you need a new one just peel and apply a new one.

I use those glasses cloth to clean the nav screen. It works hecka good and doesn't scratch a thing!
