I am having a problem with a leaking tire on an aluminum wheel. I had a tire plugged from a nail/it kept leaking took it back, they said it was a seal problem adn fixed it/still leaking is there something special that can be done, its a certified shop, so you would think they would know what they are talking about.

Thanks
Mike

Do you really mean they "plugged" it -- from the outside? If so, that's not good. Radials need to be patched from the inside. If they plugged it that may be your problem.

Have you tested yourself where is/are the leaks?
If it is not from the plug, they don't have to fix the leak for you.

If it is the plug, I'll say it is not a certified shop. I fix my own flat; the tools I got is from Pepboys and have been fixing flat tires for all of my cars with no prblems.

Spray some water on the wheel to see where it bubbles, then you know exactly the location of the leak.

Most good tire shops have a water tank they can dunk tires in. All they have to do is look for the bubbles. Don't forget to check the valve stem also, spray some soapy water on it while moving it all directions. Good Luck!
