Transmission, Differential, Transfer Fluids
I just drain-and-fill the transmission fluid on my 2001 RX300 AWD. Do you know why Toyota suggests "In normal driving condition, no ATF change is ever needed" ?
Does RX300 AWD have front differential fluid to change?
I can find the drain plug for the transfer fluid, but I cannot find the filler plug.
What type of fluids used in differential and transfer?

per your question about not changing ATF fluids if you drive in normal condition. well lets see i know ppl that have gone 100,000 miles without changing their ATF but let me tell you if do so your playing with fire. i listed some things i consider when im changing my ATF.
-if you do not change the ATF fluid your tranny will start to kick harder when switching gears
-if not kick harder it will become more sluggish and will high stall before switching (my friends RX did this before we drain and refilled his car a couple of times)
-i baby my car and ATF fluid is just like motor oil you need to change it durring suggest intervals.
BTW i try to do a change of ATF fluid NOT flush every time i change my oil every 6k miles.

Normal conditions,
It seems to me that there are quite a few people who would not qualify as a "normal conditions" operators. I see post here about people in the US exceeding 140 mph!! Not that I think that is hard on a tranny , but it is a peek into what their driving habits are likely to be ( and not "normal").
There are also many members here that are not original owners and tas such have no idea the condition of the fluid. It is therefore simply cheap insurance. I think the previous owners of my 94 LS lived on a
rural dirt road , so I was expeditious about changing all fluids and filters.
