hitting the 100k zone what should i do???
 
okay guys i'm hitting 100k shortly what should i do.....so far i just change my spark plugs to TM last month and i'm changing my oil next week MOBIL 1 baby!!!!, and also i just did my brakes....and what other maintenaces should I do to the car...

1. Oil Chnage/Oil Filter
2. Spark Plugs
3.Tranny Flush
4. Gear Lube Drain
5. Anti-coolent Flush
6. Windshield Wipers
7.new Timing Belt
8.New Air Filter/ my TRD seems to be getting old make (or upgrade intake system)

anything else guys...tire are new too..but so far car is running good

That all looks great. With #7 (timing belt), also change the left timing idler pulley, right timing idler pulley, and the water pump. These are things that should be done when doing the timing belt. When they change the above parts, they'll also do #5 for you (coolant).

#4 is something you can do for yourself--search for how to do this (rear differential fluid change) and also you can do some drain and refills in #3 (ATF drain and refill).

Also, if your brake fluid is a bit dark, you might want to change that as well.

Is it absolutely necessary to change out the water pump when replacing the timing belt? I've been told by 2 different Lexus service advisors that the WP will be inspected when the timing belt is replaced, but will only need to be changed out if necessary.

I'm not sure what it is like on an ES300, but on a V8, many of the same components must be removed to change either the timing belt or water pump, so you may as well replace both at the same time.

Otherwise, you'd incurr extra labor costs later on, in case the "unchanged" water pump or timing belt fails.

thanks guys for you imput!! okay so this weekend i'm planning to do the fellowing i'm at 99650miles already so by the weekend i should be around 100k area or soo....well

1. Mobile 1Oil change/with Mobile 1 fitler and Zmax
2. Tranny Flush with Toyota IV fluid
3. Gear Lube...
