AC light blinking in 2002 RX ???
When the A/C light blinks, that means that the computer has detected a problem. When it does the ECU sends a signal to you by flashing the light to let you know something is wrong. It works just like the check engine light. When a problem is detected the check engine light comes on and stores a trouble code in the system. Since your A/C is not blowin cold anymore......have the trouble code pulled and check to see if your compressor is engaging when you turn the system on. In case you don't know how.......the compressor has a pulley on it. The pulley is turned by the drive belt. Start the car and the pulley turns. The pulley will turn, but the clutch will not. The clutch is a round piece that is mounted in the middle of the pulley. That clutch should not be spinning when the pulley is spinning, UNLESS the A/C is turned on.After you have started the vehicle, turn on the A/C and check to see if it is spinning. If not.......problem.
In any case you will need to have system checked for leaks or a faulty compressor.
Good Luck
