Lexus Battery Question
I just purchased a 2015 Lexus RX 350 it has a Lexus battery. I see no build date looking at just the top of the battery. I haven't had any problems with start up so far, but with winter I have concerns. Just want to know if any build date appears somewhere on a Lexus battery. I find it hard to believe it's lasted 10 years. Thank You
I don't recall seeing a sticker on mine. My 2016 ES350 battery lasted a bit over 4 years. When I purchased the car CPO I asked the dealership to check it and they said it was good, but it was actually near the end. Bring it to Autozone and have them load test the battery. Their batteries are better than what Lexus supplies. Interstate are also good.
I just purchased a Walmart battery for my 2015. Two things I check first, I hook up a voltmeter and watch it while starting the car. Voltage should not drop below 10 Volts. Second thing I look at is to see if battery is charging while running. Usually somewhere between 13.5 and 14.5 volts

The Panasonic battery in my wife's Lexus lasted 7 1/2 years, I went to Walmart and purchased a battery 1 1/2 years ago no problem. Lexus Interstate to high.
No, you can't purchase Panasonic batteries anywhere that I can find but was told that Tesla batteries are made by them.

Lots of good info. Just purchased a used 2024 RX450h+ and 12 v battery died after 12 hours of ownership. I believe I understand the issues but my BIG problem now is I can't charge or jump the 12v battery. Doors and hatch are locked, hood closed so how do I get access so I can charge. Thanks.
As stated by E Sully, use the key in the fob to unlock the front door. And be sure
to invest in a portable battery jump starter (such as Noco brand) so you can remotely
start the vehicle from the + post under the hood (in the fuse box location). And be sure to have a charger
to charge the battery correctly after having gone dead. My battery in my 2023 RX350h
has always been low in voltage (11.5 - 11.8 V) since new. It has gone dead 4 times
since new in May, 2023; 3 X during cold winter temps, and 1 X in summer after sitting
3 weeks. I then re-charge to get it going until the next time. Lexus dealer says it is fine. But
it has to be driven often or charged up numerous times. I plan to just purchase a new battery
so as not to have to deal with the problem and the Lexus dealers.
