Default GS3/400 Main. Issues?

Hi everyone, I'm new to the board and considering buying a used GS3/400 in the next few weeks. I haven't heard much about maintenence issues with these cars (which I guess is a good thing) but I was curious as to what you've all run into. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for when I'm looking at the GSs? Particularly the 1999/2000 model years. Thanks!

Good choice and there's not much issue about the 99-00 GS at all. Please check for moisture in the headlight.
Make sure all doors are lock and unlock with remote entry and the lock switch from inside the car and when you open each door the dome come on.
Check the radio face display.
Take the car to Lexus and get pre-purchase inspection and pay $80.00 for a peace of mine. Oh, and check all the body panel make sure the car had never been in the big accident.

Some of the things I've had problems with....

Front ball joints
Steering column noise
Electric aerial
Brake discs and pads
Door lock motors (already mentioned)
Exit light switches
Radio display panel (already mentioned)
Air con pressure switch (you can run a diag on the aircon panel by holding the AUTO and RECIRC buttons while switching on the ignition)
Alloy wheel corrosion
Noisy aircon blower motor
Smoothness of door mirror adjustment

YOu forgot to add TPS sensor on the GS400. I just replaced mine at around 65,000 miles. It's cheap though at $80 and no too bad to change.

Some of your problems are very rare, and odd. I mean the electric aerial???, brake discs and pads, alloy wheel corrosion, air con pressure switch.. I think Skizza20 asking is for something in general in U.S. for the 1999-2000 GS.

Yeah, I'm looking for more of the general GS issues, but it's good to hear about problems that individuals have had with their particular cars. If it happens to one GS, it could happen to another just as easily so it won't hurt to keep an eye out for. Thanks for all the replies guys.
