Warranty Pricing - LX 570 - 125K
Hi Guys,
New to Forum.... I have a 2017 LX that I need to add an extended too. What are you guys seeing for Quotes? I'm only looking for 125K option.
I've seen a few posts regarding warranties/pricing, but I wanted to make sure these are competitive as of today... I just got these emailed from Toby @ Shreveport:
Hello Trevor and thank you for the email.
Here are a few plans and prices below.
5 year 125000 = $2085
6year 125000 = $2470
7 year 125000 = $3060
All are Lexus Platinum warranties with a ZERO deductibles

It looks good. About $250 lower comparing to an offer which I received from Midwest Toyota .

Is the ZERO deductible only if you take the vehicle to THAT LEXUS DEALERSHIP sold you the warranty? Any other Lexus dealership will incur a $100 deductible. I ran into this issue a couple of months ago.

Lexus will let you go all the way out 10 years from in service date, 125,000 miles, as long as the car is still under the original 4 year/ 50,000 limited basic warranty. 10 years/125k will run $4,705 plus tax.

What is everyone's thoughts about warranty for the lx 570.
Just bought a 2017 with 25k miles and deciding if extended warranty is worth it. With the dealers offering competitive pricing making it pretty attractive. What are common things that could go wrong and be expensive? 2017 is fully loaded with screens etc.

More important, imo, is to follow service needs per the owner's manual, especially if you do a lot on in-town driving and especially if you tow.

The insurance company's goal, whether Toyota or not, is to MAKE MONEY. Given the Land Cruiser and LX are THE most reliable trucks, I'd opt that looking at all the numbers, it's a sucker's bet. Yep, some with insurance will have claims that save their tail feathers. I played the odds on our '01 and '13 and did just fine without an extended warranty.

It just makes it much more attractive with the ridiculous discounts on warranty rates through some dealers at this time.

I took the plunge and added an extended warranty from Lexus to the 2015 LX I just bought. Came out around $3K or so, and extends the original warranty out another 4 years and I think 100K miles. I bought it for the peace of mind, so it was worth it to me.

Thats all that matters. As long as you are satisfied and have peace of mind then who cares what others think. A lot can be said for not having to worry about costly repairs. I hope they never happen, but when they do I don’t want to fret over it.
