I have been away from the Porsche world for a long time, primarily because has been 30 years since we had a Porsche dealer in my former home in GA. I just visited the Porsche web site to update myself, and used their car configurator program to build a new Porsche E-hybrid Cayenne. I'd choose it over the 2-row Lexus LX. More power, better gas mileage, good tow rating, and more state-of-the -art features than the 3rd gen LX. But Porsche does hit you with a lot of option choices. I could easily add another 50% to the base price. I'd be interested in seeing how the dealers option the e-hybrid Cayennes they order for their inventory.
If I got a Cayenne, it would be Porsche number 6 for me. If you checkout some forums, you will see there is delay on the e-hybrids. The rollout for the new Cayenne had been delayed. I built my base out to 86k. If I got an S like I had before, it would easily hit 100k with the same options. It does tick all the boxes for me. I would wait for them to work out all the glitches for the first year model. There are a few issues that would bug me, like the start/stop. You would have to disable it everytime you drive it. No way to make it permanent. Anyway, thanks. I am sure when the time comes, I will make the right decision.
