No independent dyno testing on K&N's on the 5.7L engine...no surprises there as they don't have comparison testing on anything else. I do not understand how a non-oem air filter can beat Toyota's oem version, especially in the areas of filter life, filter performance, and cost. There are lots of reports issues with K&N's oil fouling MAF sensors. I also trust Toyota's engineering a bit more than than K&N's.

This from MUD about a year ago...

"Sometimes I think "This is a Land Cruiser it can take it"

"Sometimes I think: "If you wanted a 500 hp SUV with dubious reliability you should have just bought a Range Rover"

"I like my Land Cruiser reliability and it's an unknown how everything will hold up.

"TRD doesn't sell the supercharger anymore. Sparks Toyota lists the Magnuson as available. Best to call and find out what exactly would need to be done."

There is one for $2500 on ebay. No hardware other than the unit itself.

Lack of hardware is why it's $2500.

Finding the hardware, having it correctly installed, and set up by someone who's btdt will definitely be more $$$.

I found just going to a higher performance brake pad did wonders for initial bite, linear pedal feel and overall braking on my LX. I know my 2011 uses different rotors, but cross reference the pads, they may be the same size. StopTech makes the TRD pads for the Tundra, these are the same.
Here are the parts:
Pads: StopTech Street Sport (TRD OEM)
Front 309.13030
Rear 309.13040
Rotors: Centric Cryo Treated
Front: 120.44162CRY
Rear: 120.44157CRY

Your rig came out nice. I'll keep an eye open around town for you.

@giggalo I've seen your rig round town a few times lately. The side exhaust is the dead giveaway. It looks good. I hope she's treating your right. ;^)

These lights will go nicely with no front plate as another reason to get pulled over and ticketed. These are not legal for use in the US or Canada.
