What?! No AFS for 2018 LX570???
I owned 2015 LX570 and it had AFS!
Now I have a 2018 LX570! It doesn’t have AFS???
Also that stupid electronic park brake! Idiot! If you press the brake on d while stopping, it won’t automatically release if you press the gas paddle. Only way to release is press the brake again!!!

I can live with the electronik park brake, it's not so big problem, especially comparing to AFS.

Oh! Even remote starter! You can’t find a LEXUS genuine part for doing that if you live in Canada! You won’t have the Enform. Never buy LEXUS in Canada, you will lose ton of money on Enform system!

I cancelled Enform on ALL of our Lexus vehicles. I had paid for the Enform subscriptions for the last 5+ years on ALL our Lexus vehicles. Thinking back I could have saved a lot of money and took another nice vacation somewhere!!! LOL
That is unacceptable, all bmw have AFS! LED in LX570 looks like it have AFS function! Totally leading to misunderstand people!

Doncha' just hate it when Google breaks.
"Adaptive Front-lighting System"...low beams move into curves. Link...Toyota AFS
Note that the link is directed to markets with right-hand drivers seat...reverse for North America.

We have AFS and non-AFS vehicles. The LX not having AFS has meant nothing to me personally. The road out of our home is two-lane country with several 90° curves so dark driving constantly and the AFS is very noticeable on some of our rides. However, I've never missed it on the LX as the headlamps are superior to our other vehicles.
Also notice nothing odd about our parking brake - then again we've had a lot of different electronic brakes in the past decade so we're pretty adaptive.

fosterelli has the right idea, AFS helped aim narrow beam lights but modern LED lights (especially the
magnificent triple beams) have such a dramatic pattern that it is not necessary to wave them around.
The lights do adjust up and down to compensate for weight in the back that would raise the beams too high.

You basically just HOLD the brake button down while the car is running and in P for like 5 seconds. It will beep when you've turned it on. At least that should remove one annoyance. Hope you enjoy the car! I like the added features like the cruise control that can be turned on in traffic (I use it to hold the car stopped when someone is in front of me at a light) and the blind spot monitor and the big screen. I will likely do the CarPlay update from BeatSonic or whatever folks on this forum think is the best!
Cheers!

i had AFS lighting on an older rx350.
then i bought a 2018 LX570, and honestly, i do not see any lack of visibililty. the LED lights are so much better, that with fixed pointing i still can see the same. especially if i turn on the fog lights.
so i think this AFS is just a red herring, not needed in the LX anymore, and it IS a whole lot more expensive and repair prone to have the AFS
