2018 LX570 Year End Deals
#16
Dave,
There is very little 2018 LX inventory in NorCal, and less competitive pricing than SoCal. You can probably get them down to $82.5K or if you're willing to fly down to SoCal to pick up a car I think you can get a little lower.
I think the deals will get better at the end of this month and in fourth quarter when the 2019 LX's start arriving. However the 2018 inventory will start to really thin out by then as they just don't make that many of these $100K trucks.
With tax and interest over the course of time this truck is going to cost us $100K!!! Stepping back and thinking about it that's just kinda nuts. We keep our cars for decades though (currently driving 2004 LS430 and 2006 GX470), so I keep telling myself that over 20 years of ownership it's worth it!!!
Good luck with your purchase!

Just a quick update. On a truck with $97K MSRP we’re at $81K purchase price which I sense is as low as they will go. That’s $7K incentive from Lexus and $9K off from the dealer.
The $7K incentive expires 10/1. Anyone remember if Lexus incentives get better in October?
The 2019 LX’s are already starting to show up on dealer websites though I don’t know if they are on the ground yet. No changes for 2019.
i think we’re going to pull the trigger rather than wait for October.

It has DVD which I think is useless as our boys have iPads and iPhones. No ML which I would like, but very limited 2018 inventory in the colors my wife wants. She could care less about the ML, but must have the cooler box. In fact the only reason we’re getting the 3-row instead of more practical (for us) 2-row is the damn cooler box...unbelievable, but must make her happy otherwise for the next 20 years I’ll hear the following: “sure would be nice if we had cold drinks on the truck...too bad you didn’t get that option...”.

Haha, so true.
My wife was not even aware that there is a cooler in the LX570 when we bought it. Since we were coming from our old LX470 without Bluetooth.......she was more concerned about Bluetooth and the ML sound system which she declared a "must have" at the time.
Our current LX570 is five years old now and we've only used the DVD thing like TWICE!!! The LX570 came with the DVD and we got it at a discount, so we don't feel as bad vs if we had custom ordered the rig and paid "retail".
On longer trips (or even local running errands and such), if we take the LX570, my wife will ALWAYS make sure we have cold drinks in the cooler. One feature my wife can not do without. Wished the other Lexi got the cooler too.

Wife and I were used to dropping a playmate cooler in on the floor. We're also spoiled by the cooler and it makes up a little for the overall lack of storage. I did add the standard change tray from eBay though.

Bought the one for $81K and 3.49% for 72 month loan from our bank. We had to move forward because my LS430’s radiator sprung a huge leak this week and we’re down to one car among three drivers. So now my wife has the new LX, my son gets the 2004 LS430 and I will end up with wife’s “old” 2006 GX470 that is in mint condition.
I’m of to the GX forums to figure out what cool stuff I can do to modify my new toy!

Just curious what does your new LX give you that made you spend $52k for a new one? The big reason people buy LX’s and landcruisers because they are made to last 25 years in a Third World country and go pretty much trouble free for 500,000 miles. It was good of you to eat all the depreciation for the next guy. Trust me I’m not busting on you I’ve traded in one year old Mercedes AMG for a brand new Aston Martin so I’m guilty as you are I just was wondering your motivation

Dave - Glendale Lexus their inventory is not listed in edmunds check their website.
I purchase my 2013 on 2/2012, I had an extra year of fun. My 2013 warranty was up, right headlight blew (transformer), I needed 4 new tires, few dings on the body and felt a big repair was coming up that made me to called a few dealers to see what kind of deal that I can get. $18.5k off MSRP plus they were going take my car for $36k. I went to test drive the truck and it felt so much more smoother, quieter and the handling was better. The steering wheel was much more rigid than the 2013. Plus the acceleration in normal mode was much much better.
