Lexus NAV, enform and interface??? In a 2013 Lexus LX570
Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if a subscription is required to use the Apps(like bing, pandora, opentable) on your Lexus 2013 LX570? How about XM Stocks, weather?
I’ve seen a YouTube video with some guys in russia that had a different interface on the nav, and they were able to play movies on the nav screen, go to a bunch of different mobile apps from the iPhone( basically like a mirroring of iphone on cars screen). Has anyone heard of any aftermarket hacks/updates like to the factoty NAV?
Thank you!!!

Honestly, it's not even worth the trouble. The infotainment even on a new LX sucks. You're better off getting a vent mount for your phone like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Practical-Car-YLir-Vent-Holder-Mount-for-Mobile-Phone-Smart-Cell-Phone-SZ/162274757901?_trkparms=pageci%3A4448871c-27f3-11e8-beda-74dbd1800321%7Cparentrq%3A275a21951620a9c11acce0b4fffb901c%7Ciid%3A1&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236 or this https://www.ebay.com/itm/QN271-360-A...o/122197829535 and using your phone.
(Carplay is way overdue for Lexus). Actually even tried using Nav on a new RX with live traffic and it wanted to take me in a straight line through the city when a highway route was much quicker. Google Maps is far superior because it analyzes real traffic patterns.
There is a replacement Android head unit on AliExpress but it's not worth the trouble to me for what it costs.
I also run a low profile USB drive for music.

I’ll try to post somes pics when I get some time . This is an excellent solution....I can place my 9.7” iPad Pro on the holder and use it as my Nav ,internet device and entertainment screen! Google maps are the best!

WTF, I tried to quote the picture above and instead of quoting the image it has a wall of text without an edit button. So don't mind the wall of text, that's a forum glitch.
Anyways, the auto hide is a good setting. The screen will stay on if you leave it in the track listing of USB songs.

The screen is kinda light grey, dark or mildly white ....not too much of a bother but I’ll give it a try.

I would have made some kind of cover for the screen at night if it weren't for that function!

Looking for part # as well. Panavise doesn't show a listing for LX570. Did you use a different model or maybe they discontinued the part? Any help appreciated.

Here is what I came up with for a tablet mount for my 2008 LX570. I made an "L" bracket and installed it behind the air vent. I screwed the bottom leg down to the plastic behind the radio and used double sided tape on the vertical leg and pressed it against the back of the radio. This created a nice support to attach the threaded rod. I then took a short piece of 1/4-20 all thread and put a slight bend in it to get the end to come out through the hole I drilled in the vent face at a more appropriate angle. I test fitted a couple times to get everything lined up before drilling the hole in the vent face. Once done, I was able to attach the all thread to the "L" bracket I made using a nut on each side of the bracket. I also placed a nut and small washer on the back side of the vent plastic. I left it all loose until I snapped the vent back in. Then I was able to tighten the nuts against the L bracket though the side with the trim still off. As assembled, There is no stress on the air vent. The L bracket provides most of the support.
On the outside I screwed on a 1" Ram mount I got off Amazon. I felt this ball matched the dash well with the brushed aluminum post. I put a small washer behind the ball so the face of the vent wouldn't get scratched when tightening the ball and used blue locktight to lock the ball stud down.
Here are some pics of the install.
