Who actually likes the 21 rim and wheels? I cant compare the ride quality with 18 or 20 rims but they seem fine with me. I just wished there were more tire options, but so far so good.
I hate them. There is no reason to put low profile tires on an SUV designed for offroading. And I cannot see any reason why to buy body on frame SUV with a solid rear axle if I use it just on a highway.
I think they are cool looking, but I prefer fat, light truck tires over low profile tires. I do feel this truck is too heavy for P-rated tires, which have shallow tread and are really designed for cars and minivans, not trucks.
The cost for replacement 21" tires is also silly, at double or more the cost of LT tires in 17 or 18". And LT tires can last almost twice as long as the shallow P-rated ones.
This is an easy change as OEM take off 18s are sold for practically scrap value on ebay. The 17" options are more expensive.
I like the 21" rims, handsome, imho. The tires do not seem very "low profile" to me. However, I do not care for Dunlop's. I replaced them on my former LX 570 with Michelin and the ride noticeably improved. Unfortunately, that option is not currently available. I love the interior and the walnut trim and the cameras. I also like the 8 speed transmission over my old 6 speed. If and when a different brand tire in the same size becomes available, I will switch, perhaps to something not "made in Japan".
Rims are good for on road driving, but the limited choice and high cost is a no brainer to go with a different size and perhaps something that is more capable off road too.
I'd pick the 20s on a '16+ truck. In addition to having better tire options I think they are more attractive.
And of course I have the 20s (the only choice) on my 2011. If I could find a set of the factory 18s that were sold in Middle East/Russia markets, I'd probably grab them. (I know Tundra/LC rims work, but I love looking 100% factory.) Low profile tires accomplish nothing for an off-road truck with a heavy live axle.
I'm in the midst of exploring replacements for my wife's 2016 21-inch rims, leaning towards a Tundra TRD 18 ich or 20 inch Limited rims partly because I don't want to pay $400-per-Dunlop-tire but also believe I won't have to sacrifice looks for comfort.
The 21s are certainly the prettiest but I also changed them for the lack of options. I wish we could find 33" tires to put on the 21" wheels as that would be a nice combination. The ride of the OEM is certainly good and in my experience the quietest.
the design of 21 inch rim is nice but can only use one tire that is 275 in width.
The 20 inch rim on 13-15 Lx is better option and looks better than current 20 inch rim which is rarity on current LX. 285 profile tires and higher look right on LX.

The ride is magnificent with very little additional body roll. It even rides much better than my 2010 LX with 20" rims and tires. Highly recommended.

I'll make the same recommendation. My 200 has 18" Tundra take-off's, zero miles on the truck they came from. Tire choices are endless, but in this case it's Blizzaks from around November until April, and then Toyo AT II's on oem Land Cruiser 18's.
21's may look great, but it's a bastard size wheel and 21" tires are generally inferior to what you can select for 18" or even 20" wheels. IMO if you're using your 200 both on and off-road, 18's are what you need.

It is very possible other tires may never become available in this size...no other vehicle uses this size tire. There are a lot of choices in 275/45/21...has anyone used this size? I know the speedo will be a few MPG off but not a huge deal.

Thats a smaller sidewall than the original. Road comfort will be even worse. It simply needs more rubber not less.
I sincerely wish I had the 20 inch wheels. All the LX's around here in stock come with the 21 inch wheels. About 2 months into ownership, I had a sidewall puncture. There was a stop sale on the Dunlops at the time because they forgot to stamp at DOT code in the sidewall. One left in the entire Denver area and no other tire option. If anyone wants to trade the OEM 20 inch wheels for 21's let me know. I'd love to go down to the 18's but I feel that the wheel would look too small relative to the vehicle. Advice to anyone asking, avoid the 21's.

Look for used set of pre-2016 20" wheels. That's what many of us have done.
