Default Hilarious...

The subject is the Land Cruiser, but I figure it may be interesting for those of us who own the LC's child, the LX.

That's your own opinion.

If I'm ready to spend $85k on the LC, I'll be HAPPY to pay another $5k to get the LX.

...and we all know about "opinions".

I'm happier to drop ~ $50K on any 200 that's a couple of years old with perfect maintenance, a single non-lease owner, and no accidents.

Even happier to know the original owner ate a few years of depreciation.

The people who will never understand "Why buy a LC/LX570" will NEVER understand. We don't need to convince them. Let them go buy whatever else they want.......MB, BMW, RR, PORSCHE, AND ETC.

When I see all the LC'S roaming around under the auspices of United Nations in some of the most remote areas of this planet in third wirld countries........ there's gotta be a good reason why all the LC'S and not so many RR's. YEP!!! That's right! When you have people sh@@ting at you and you need to get the h@ll outta there quickly, you have a much better chance in a LC (VERSUS anything else).

LC's are also far easier to armor, including glass, body, and under frame.

They wont buy the LX cause its a boat with jello handling... Make it a frame body instead of BOF and it may handle and drive better. Add TT v8 and a little better styling and u got the new 2020 LX.....

I didn't nor have I ever put reliability on the back burner.

The point that I evidently didn't make is that in areas of the world where an armored vehicle is required, armor pieces and glass are easy to add to a 200 series It's not a "maybe so".
