Repair and keep my 470 or trade to the 570?

I found probably the only source of ethanol based concentrate here in the USA and I use it for many years:

Heated steering wheel is an option as well as the heated wiper blades. On a 6 day straight drive over X-mas holidays on I-50 / 70 through Colorado with temps only down to 18F the steering wheel stayed just as cold as if your
hand was on the steering gear box in the engine bay. It was like direct thermo transfer of cold. The entire dash was also just as cold as the windshield. I asked the dealer if they could add the aka "winter package", they said no.
It's like the lane avoidance option, "it must be installed at factory in Japan". I called a local Toy dealer and they said same with the Land Cruiser options. I did cyphen the wiper fluid out yesterday and filled with RainEx -30F fluid. It is
possible that our former dealer in SoCal had been filling with standard cheapo fluid. Will see if it does any better in coming weeks.

THE FINAL VERDICT: We kept her and turned down the other, all thanks to you guys! We had the shocks done last week and she drives as tight as new! Actually surprised the difference. Replaced them with the original style. Just wanted to keep everything OEM.
in reality, I think I just got caught up in something new and different, not necessarily better. Truth is we think the model we ha e now is much more attractive. I had the 2013 Land Cruiser and literally maybe ever had three people ever mention it or compliment it....because most thought it was just a sequoia or something mundane. I do think the newer ones have lost some of the uniqueness.
Thanks for for allowing me to overthink k this. 😀😀

Good decision, I would have done the same.

I went the other way and bought the LX 570 but it’s a lot prettier than a Land Cruiser plus my wife made me move halfway across the country and It was part of the deal but I love my 100

The 470 was the high water mark looks-wise in my opinion, but my 570 can tow more, which I need hauling a 24' travel trailer.
If I didn't need the extra power, I'd keep the 470. I like the size better too, the 570 is a larger vehicle than I prefer to drive.
YMMV
Good luck with whatever you decide, not a bad predicament to be in!

Loving this thread. I have an '06 LX470 with 147K miles that I've owned for ten years. The vehicle has been, without a doubt, the very best vehicle I have EVER owned. Mechanically its been a rock. I'm toying with getting something newer, either a LC or LX570. But the more I think about it and read threads like this, I'm not at all sure why I'd do this. Zero wrong with the LX470 and everyone I talk to says it will go another 150K and run for another ten years. Other than getting some newer electronics in the cabin (Bluetoothing music) there is NOTHING I'd change about it.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!
Our old 2000 LX470 had 280k+ miles before we traded in for another brand new 2013 LX570. NO major problems with the old LX470. Just wanted additional modern electronic features with the new LX570.

The BEST thing we just did was add that VAIS Bluetooth to the system. Just amazing. Works just like the new ones and fully integrates. Was only like $200 and I installed in 30 mins.
