Anyone Know When The 4th Gen LX Will Be Out?
Hi all,
Hope that I'm not posting in the wrong forum, but I was curious as to when Lexus would release the 4th generation LX as the 3rd generation is quickly approaching 10 years old.
Don't get me wrong as I really do like the current facelift and I was considering one, but I feel like the powertrain is outdated compared to rivals like the Escalade or Mercedes GL. I've decided to keep the GX for another few years and am hoping for a new LX soon.
If anyone knows anything or wants to share, please do.

There will be a new GX probably quite soon. New (or substantially redesigned) Land Cruiser Prado will debut this month in Frankfurt.

But there are no reliable information about new LX. I would guess that we can get the new LX in 2019 or 2020.
BTW, considering reliability, the powertrain of LX is much better compared to Escalade or Mercedes GL :-) Just the tank is small...

From my experience, Japanese luxury cars are much cheaper to maintain and much more reliable than German luxury cars. If the 3rd generation GX looks good, then I may consider a GX again. The 2nd generation's styling wasn't my cup of tea.
