A few weeks ago pictures of the sport package 2018 LX 570 circulated around the web after the LX 570 Superior was announced in Russia/China and by TRD in Japan.
It has also been spotted in the Middle East and will be offered as the LX 570 S.

Front end still looks really bad.

Indeed it does.

Way way way too much of a front design extension of the tasteful 2013-15 look.

I guess Lexus believes by adding the chin and loosing the fins on the front you add +250 hp and more downforce....

That hideous bodykit completely ruined any chance of that thing ever going offroad.

No problem going offroad with this. Just some parts which do not need to be there will go away (or change its shape). And it will look much better after such an offroad trip :-)

As you know and Lexus also knows, the majority of owners don't take it offroad. Have you ever looked at the side of our current LX from far away? The grill protrudes and bottom is slanted.......Yeah, Yeah! I know it is designed for approaching. Adding the sides on the bottom look better.

How many people here did not like the design of LX 570 with gigantic grill or "Predator mouth" in the front when it came out 2016? It takes time to love it.

Still don't like 2016-2017 and 2018 front end is even worse :(

Didn't like it when it came out and still don't like it. That is the primary reason we are still driving our pre-facelifted version. If Lexus doesn't do better I'll be buying something else to replace my current LX which has 130,000 miles on it.

It may take as much time as snowballs freezing in hell. A lot of folks "love" it since it's the only choice. See below...

Gentle updates on a classic 2-box body give you something that looks good both when it's new and as time passes. The series 100 is a great example.

As I've posted a zillion times before, when a stylist goes the edge as is happening with the current LX, he can't go back...he goes forward with even more bizarre designs.

See below...a good summary.

That's why I bought a super low mileage CPOed 2015 LX570, in my favorite color. I wish I could of bought a "new" 1995 FZJ80 series!

DocT 09-04-17 01:07 PM

Folks, either you like it or don't like it. It is more subjective. It is the Lexus signature now. Unless the sales are down due to the design, otherwise it won't change it any time soon.

Mercedes G class looks similiar.

Max707 09-04-17 02:25 PM

I use to live in Maui, Oprah had a fleet of G 500 for guests to drive, the service manager at the Mercedes dealership said they just about replaced every part on everyone of those vehicles not very dependable very expensive to maintain ;)
