On the '14 LS460 you would do this:
On the center console, just above the joystick, hit the "Map" button.
On the map display, select "Show On Map."
Then turn the Trace off.
On your vehicle, do whatever you need to do to get the map displayed, and then use the "Show On Map" to turn the Trace off.
