Default Lexus LX570 Mark Levinson Audio, NO VOLUME!!!

Hey CL.

I got a 2008 Lexus LX570 Australian Spec, Right hand. My problem is that recently there is no sound coming from the ML speakers. Everything else is working, CD DVD radio, just no volume. I checked the fuse, and it was blown, but when I tried to replace it, It blew on me every time as soon as I try to insert it.

I need a solution guys any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Has anything been installed lately on this vehicle that involved the wiring. This could be a simple short or a blown amp. If the latter is will be expensive to replace unless you can find one used.

Nothing has been replaced. I was driving home and all of a sudden the volume cuts out. It's been dead since then.

Recently had similar issue on my 14 with 38k miles. Issue resolved itself when turned off and turned back on, but the dealer said there was a code stored for an issue with the USB port that shut down the speakers that one time. They are ordering / replacing the USB port on the center console just out of precaution.

Hate to dig up an old thread but my 09 LX 570 stopped playing sound today out of the blue. I wanted to see if this was resolved and if so how?

My situation doesn't play music from any source. Navigation voice still plays through the speakers as does the voice control trigger. No volume number displays on the screen when I turn the **** either. It does display a "volume off" message when I press the volume button though. Any one seen this before or have any thoughts?

Sounds to me like a Mark Levinson amplifier failure. Failure is typically due to heat or to water damage. Signs are as you describe. Lexus has a marketing deal with Levinson that forbids Lexus opening the units to repair them, so the dealer fix has to be a straight replacement with a new amplifier. This is not cheap. My dealer estimate for the one in my LX some years ago was around $1200. However, they can be removed and repaire; it's just that a Lexus dealer will not do it. I found a specialty mail oder repair shop, removed mine myself, sent it off, and had a working unit back for $600 a few days later.

So after not working all day on Friday with multiple restarts, it seems to be working like normal again. Should I assume that it is only a matter of time for a final failure? Or might it have been something else?

I got mined repaired and it solved the problem. They will open the amp up and fix it. If your car isnt under warranty, get it fixed or look up used.

I am in the same boat with 2013. Is this just anomaly, or will this only get worse?

checked fuses & all fine.
How can I determine the AMP part number for 2013 570 without removing it from the vehicle, just to get a quote

no audio
I restart the car and the volume works.
Another instance, I tried to turn up the volume and I hear a screeching sound from speakers.
I restart the car and the volume works.

United Radio is an authorized third party repair for some of the brand name electronics. I sent my Sony soundbar for warranty repair.
