they were the 2016 version with new tranny. The engine and tranny felt lackluster. Too many gears imho. They should go back to 6 speed

oh, i didn't feel any hestitatiom or fussy of the tranny yet, becuase i was on cruise control and cruise at 65 mph on highway when i drive home, but one thing i found out is the new LX ride stiffer than the previuos LX, it make more stable to me, and the ride alot better than my GX (luxury package)

It may have 400 hp, but that hp is pulling around 3+ tons of truck with just a driver aboard and a full tank of gas. Not that it weighs the same as an LX (LX I think would weight more) but my '13 Cruiser weights 6060 lbs. on a certified scale about half a mile from the house. I think acceleration is close to remarkable given the truck's weight. Acceleration is definitely helped by a final drive ratio > 4:1.

im curious now what u think of LX compared to GX in terms of engine and tranny responsiveness. GX is definitely a winner imho...

And though a "winner", it's not an LX.

after a little road trip over the weekend, overall the GX is a winner, on the highway passing power, the GX fell quicker than the LX maybe it is lighter? The gx fell more comfy than the LX due to 18" versus 21" wheels, the transmission is feel smooth on both LX and GX, but for some reason my GX transmission is jerk when I engage into drive mode from the "P" ? But technology on the LX way better, for the money wise the GX is for what it cost

Put 18" wheels and tires on the LX and see what you think...3" diameter difference between the LX and GX wheels gives you to an apples v. oranges comparison. As to the "worth the money" comparison, a GX will indeed cause you to spend less money and give you a lot less interior room. Given the rear door is a crazy design as it opens in the wrong direction for all countries save Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. No fold-down tailgate for picnic prep. But you do cut the cost to play by around half based on current mark for both vehicles.
If I were truly set on an LX or Land Cruiser, that would be my focus.

1st, the front passenger side lean, and make the GX slightly pull to the right.
2nd, the leather seat feel very soft, I don't think it will last
3rd, the tail swing door.
the reason that i keep this gx is for the long road trip and get more gas per mileage than thr LX
i love every thing about the LX, and use it for the Sunday church and go shopping only

The GX weighs ~ half a ton less than a 200 series. 0 to 60 times are in the low 7 second range for both vehicles.

I started looking for a replacement for my '01 LX in the spring of 2015. Test drove a new at the time Land Cruiser and a 2011 LX. The LX was underwhelming and handled like a boat, no matter how the AHC was set. After checking about half a dozen cars for sale websites twice a day, I finally found the perfect-to-me truck at a Porsche / Audi dealer in Spokane, WA. I ended up with a '13 Land Cruiser. Zero complaints.
