By long vertical stretch, do you mean residue? Were you able to get it off with some solvent, and did it take off any paint? Thanks.

I am betting it marked the finish. I had them on an RX several years ago and when removed there was a scuff mark the entire length of the edge that would not remove. They were only the RX for about three months.

I can believe it though, I had two different styles of bumper protectors front and rear on my old ES and they did not want to come off. They were a different type of 3M adhesive rather than the clear kind on these.

I am careful and never let my door edge hit anything. Have my own private parking space at my office that no one parks near and the HandiCap sticker takes care of the rest. No dents or dings on my doors for years now.
