These might be dumb questions too, but I sure would like some answers. My dealer has this beauty in stock, exactly like I want, except for the ugly rear seat DVD's. All Southern Region LX have this option. I dislike them so much, it has killed the deal.



My questions are these: Can these be removed? What is behind the units?
The seat backs have indentations in them to accommodate these big, ugly devices. What do the seatbacks in non-rear DVD LX look like?

I need knowledgeable answers, not theories. I have my own theories and the prospects are bleak.

Talk to your dealer and see if there's still time to order a truck w/o the DVD's...next allocation for the SR should be around the end of this year, the next about the end of January. I'd expect the non-DVD seat backs look like plain leather.

I'm hoping these answers are "knowledgeable" enough for you. Failing that, you can always call Lexus in LA and/or your regional Lexus marketing department (not the dealer) and go from there. Were it I, I'd hope for a little patience and order a truck to your specs.

Factory DVD cannot be remove, at least not with ease.

The LX is still new, and all the current build is almost the same load:

21 inch wheels
Luxury pack
Qi charging
Center cooler box

rear DVD screen will usually be the option for dealer to choose

ask your dealer to order one without it, it shouldn't be special order, since each dealer can locate certain vehicles every week, or they can trade with other dealer

A lot of model is actually without the DVD
