Default What tires are you running?

Currently in the market for a new set of rubber...unfortunately. I would like to go back with the same tires that are on it, however I wanted to see what the consensus is from more seasoned LX 570 owners. I have merely had the truck ~3 months and I knew when I purchased it that new tires would be a must before any lengthy road trip. Presently, there are Michelin Latitude 285 on it however I am not 100% sure if they are sport or touring. Thanks for any insight.

Latitude Tour HP

They are the best I have found. I had the Dunlops on my 2015 LX and had the dealer switchout the tires and wheels from another 2015 LX so I had the Michelins

Actually had a local guy tell me that they quit making these over a year ago. I informed him that other businesses could get them, to which he replied it must be the last of the stock. For those that have rode other tires and then these, what differences do you notice? I just want to make sure that the amount of money I am spending is worth it. Thanks for any input.

The Michelins are worth it.

I just replaced the Michelin Lattitude 285/50's with Michelin LTX/2's. The LTX/2's only come in 275/55/20. They're 10mm skinnier (can't tell), very slightly taller profile (like that), and GREAT in winter weather here in Colorado. The tires are a slight bit noisier, but it's not a big deal. And the snow performance of the LTX's are awesome. Our other Lexus got 60K miles on its last set of LTX/2's, so I'm hopeful for a similar result on my LX. Good luck!

I'll probably go with the LTX/2's once my HP Tours wear out. I like Micheline and hear very few positive reviews with the Dunlops

But yes - I believe the HP Tour's are being closed out.

If you Google: "michelin latitude tour hp discontinued"

There are many indications that is HAS been or soon to be discontinued!

Bummer as I have always loved these tires.

Picked up my 2014 LX in December and it came with the Dunlops. Just replaced all 5 of them with LTX MS/2's (on my own dime) after getting stuck in the snow on a recent ski trip. They're a slight bit noisier (as others have said) but I had them on my LX470 and the wet/snow performance is the next best thing to a dedicated snow tire.

I though about getting a set of 18" Land Cruiser rims, mounting snow tires and swapping every year, but it's a hassle, I'd need a 5th wheel for the spare and would cost more then just replacing the Dunlops.

Highly recommended. Got my from TireBuyer.com as they were the cheapest including shipping.

I requested Lats on my 2013 LX. At 20K, they became worthless on snow with about 1/3 tread remaining. Switched to the LTXs in the 275 profile, and am really pleased with winter traction. Also have a set of LTXs on my GX, which still have about 2/3s tread remaining after 20K.

Replaced with original Dunlop with the Michelin tires.
Prefer Michelin, much quieter ride.
