Default Water pump problem

From my research on Tundra Solutions, ih8mud and club Lexus, It looks like some members with 2008-2010 5.7 liter engines have had water pumps that needed to be replaced. I have not found any 2011-2015 LX570's that have had a leaking water pump that needed to be replaced. If anyone had one please post. Also if your over flow tank starts losing fluid and you need to add fluid to keep it full have your dealer check your water pump for leaking. Replacement is covered on your 6 year 70k mile drivetrain warranty. After that it will cost you around $1200.

I know the LX570 is built in Japan in one of the worlds top rated facilities and I think the engines are built in Japan? Tundras and Tundra engines are built in the USA. Any member even 2008-2010 with a LX570 have their water pump replaced.

It is a known problem which there is either a TSB or recall for. While I was LX/LC shopping, I saw several which had it replaced around 50-65k miles. Better to have it done on Lexus dime than on mine, I guess...

I saw where it was a known problem for Tundras 2008-2010 but have not seen many LC/LX with problem and none reported after 2010. Maybe part change of some difference between USA Tundra builds and Japan build LC/LX's. You have any examples of 2011-2015's having their water pump replaced?

None specific - I just pulled maintenance records on several potential vehicles on my watch list and saw where it had been done on at least 1/3 of them. I also talked to a gentleman with a 2008 LC at my business- he had mentioned no issues except WP replacement. I don't believe there was an issue on '11's or later.
