My children like to ride in the 3rd row and I can see the potential of the area pictured getting destroyed. Any tips on what to do? I though of getting that clear clinging plastic, but I can not seem to find any without any type of print and not sure if they make it thick enough.

Home Depot sells the clear plastic with no markings. I have the same interior color as you, and while I don't need to protect the same area as you (yet!), I used it to individually wrap the rectangular covers on the tail gate (to protect from staining when loading boxes, strollers, etc.), and it has worked well.

I use Scotchgard™ Auto Interior Fabric Protector. You can buy it on Amazon.com. I used it for 10 years in my 2004 Lexus GX 470 and now plan on using it in my LX570. When I traded my GX last weekend, the dealership couldn't believe how clean all the carpet was kept. It was nearly perfect!
