Tell me its a YAY...
Hi there all experts of LX 70 / Land Crusier, i am not new to this forum since I have owned a 2004 Lexus GX 470 before and currently my fiance drives the Lexus GS 400.
Now, unforunatley i have been rear ended about two weeks ago and my GX 470 was written off, and yes i still miss that car, it was just great...so now I have added money in on top of the written off amount to get a
2008 Lexus LX 470 Best of the Best, Fully Loaded with everything, I am just too thrilled, picked her up today for: $42500 with 110000KM on it, so that will be about 68-69K miles on it...
Here is what I need your opinion:
PART I: Did I make the write move? Should I have bought a 2008 - 2009 BMW X5 fully loaded with the "BMW" perks with just a bit less km/miles? Or was it better for me to spend my extra $ to get the LX 570, i just need your support, i know what the answer is anyways since I have got her already, plus i just love Lexus, no doubt...
PART II: Ok, here is what I plan to do for maintenance right now: Mobil 1 Oil Change 6 QT 5W 30
.WHAT ELSE? I already spent a lot on her, i know she is an awesome investment, but i would like to know what else of maintenance i should do now. Exmaple: Transmission oil change, radiator flush and new3 fluid, new differential fluid?? Thanks...

I am in close to the same boat mate. Looking at either doing a Lexus LX570 or a BMW X5. I guess I ask you the same question I ask myself. If its for the long haul go Lexus, if not the BMW might be the better choice.

Well you know what, I have a E46 M3 myself for summer car, and yes you get the perks and you get the feeling of being surrounded by heavy metal, but when I have made my choice of investing in a Lexus LX 570 rather than a full load X5 with 90000 KM with EXTENDED WARRANTY for another 2 year selling for $33800, i still went with the LX 570 because i knew that I would be driving with "fear"...you know, the electrical problems, mechanical maybe, and i asked my mechanic that head gasket will leak is a common problem, the part is cheap for gasket but takes hrs of labour to install and stuff...so after driving my GX 470, i knew that this "new" LX 570 would be a dream ride...so i know i have to make monthly payments for my LX and not the X5 which i hate doing, but you know what...It is a Land Crusier + a Lexus Badge, so it is the best of the best, instead of being the middle which is X5, a 5 series jacked up...so think carefully if you want the perks or you want the perk with out the s but with high reliability and king of the road like driving...LX 570 =TANK...
