yup, definitely a bummer, although i think they did somehow make the halogen projectors look "better"
i think some people did put in their own hid kits
also if you look at the new gx, the low beam area is intentionally "lowered" to squeeze in the hid. previous generation gx didn't have hid for the same resaon

only in the US I believe that Lexus won't equipped the LX570 with HID's but most of the LX570 that is offered outside US are equipped with HID's. In Manila, its a standard feature.

i believe lx570 us spec do have projectors, just not hid ready. and from what i read the trick on putting in hid kits is the afs. a lot of people got error because the afs setup and end up having to cut out the plastic cap cover in the back. if you have a clean solution i am sure people would be happy

I agree with the above, just excuses after excuses from Lexus. I got sick and tired of their excuses and I got the problem fixed myself.

So there is no way to do a factory special order HID? HID does not exist on US spec LX570's at all? Is there an official explanation from Toyota/Lexus anywhere as to why this is the case? I see where people are saying that the projector eyes sit too high, but is that for real?
