2011 HID install
Hi all,
I just recently picked up a 2011 LX570 for my wife and I was surprised to find that the car didn't come with xenon as standard. My question for you guys is, which aftermarket HID kit should I get for the car? I mean, there are so many different companies that sells HID kit, but I would like to hear your thoughts on which company makes the best kit (in terms of durability, ease of installation).
Lastly, for those of you in So. Cal, where can I take my car for the install? Thanks in advance!
Michael

Remember, with auto-leveling and active headlamps the best you can do will be getting the blue look with some different bulbs. If you want to install a true Xenon system, you will likely have to butcher the headlamp area.
My humble opinion is that the factory headlights actually perform quite well. Are you looking for the "cool blue" light, or is there another reason you are going for HID?

I ve always had hid on my cars and I personally think the halogens are very dim .I want the factory 4300k look. I can't stand that the QX 56 which is 20 k less than my car has them!

Some additional thoughts - including a brief story of my installation... Totally worthwhile if you have the patience.
And congratulations on the new LX!

Yeah, that was a pretty lame excuse from Lexus/Toyota for not giving earlier model GX, LX and Land Cruisers HID lamps due to the vehicles height. As everyone probably knows, all three of the above mentioned models have HID's currently.

yeah for that stupid reason Lexus didn't offered the HID on the older GX and LX models, but it haapen to be the new 13 LX, I was almost buy the left over brand new 2011 LX for $12K off from the MRSP, but I said nahhh, just pay more to get what I want, and I know I would keep this one for the rest if my life if it possible, it well worth it to get the new front headlight with HID and LEDs DRL and new bumper, and also I notice the interior sound quieter thand the 2011 that I tested drove, but that one was silver, and I allway like the white SUV

They work great and have been used without any burnout for over a year.
Best, T
