Default Any speculation on the 2012 LX and Land Cruiser?

It seems as if Toyota/Lexus may be introducing a few revisions/updates for their Land Cruiser/LX. With the recent introduction of the new Infiniti QX and the updated Land Rover Range Rover, it seems as if it's in Toyota/Lexus's best interest to do so as well for 2012.

I'd guess at least LED DRLs, maybe head up display, like the RX 350. Not sure about other goodies...

Still have not heard anything on the LX, however Car and Driver reports that the 12 Land Cruiser will get new bumpers, grille, lights, Etune, surround view system, terrain-selection, and off road "turn-assist." I'm anxious to see it, and hope to see similar improvements for the LX.

There will be no 2012 model. It is coming out as a 13. The new front end is the new Lexus corporate grille like the new GS/CT

Just looked at 2012 prices and there was no LX, so maybe this confirms the "no 2012 LX"--or do you have some other source?

October is almost here & no news of 2012?

They can at least announce the timing of the 2012 release! The upgrades they can continue to keep secret in typical Toyota fashion

They better have something exciting to show whenever they choose to show it.

In our market (Dubai & UAE), the new Nissan Patrol (twin of the new Infiniti QX) has been taking over LC & LX by storm over the last 1.5 years. The Nissan outperforms the LC & LX due to its weight, more HP, better throttle response, better road handling and tons of new technology features. It also offers the Dynamic Cruise Control including the stop & go feature while being used in traffic. . Nissan got everything right except the interior materials don't feel as luxurious as they look (not surprisingly). Nissan also boasts tons of other technology features such as lane change assist etc and terrain selection buttons such as SAND, SNOW, etc.

At least 30% - 40% people here will take their SUVs off-road at some point and the Nissan outperforms the LC/LX. It's very easy to drive as the throttle response is amazing in the sand.

I owned the Patrol briefly but sold it in anticipation of the LX face lift. As long term Lexus fans & owners we are anxiously awaiting the face lift LX and hope Toyota addressed the areas that needed improvement in an otherwise almost perfect LX570.

I am looking for:

1. Better road handling
2. Better throttle response
3. HD based Multimedia & Navigation (offered in NA market since 2008 but not in all markets)
4. Larger screen
5. 360 degree view Cameras (offered on the Nissan)
6. HID Xenon Headights

Lets wait & see...

"Well folks, this evening, I have officially seen the media/press pictures of the new 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser from an official press site. I also have some info on the 2013 Lexus Lx570 and the 2012 Sequoia.

All revisions of the Land Cruiser are in response to the recent release of the worldwide all-new Nissan Patrol. The absence of a 2012 MY is partly contributed to the earthquake in Japan.

The 2013 Land Cruiser will be released in January 2012. The remaining 2011 Land Cruisers will get a price hike.

The Lexus LX570 will have a slightly revised look. The Sequoia will have very minor payload/towing revisions.

As per media/press embargo, I am not allowed to comment outside of what I have mentioned."

Per the Lexus Facebook page. "At this time, Lexus has extended its production on 2011 LX vehicles. I am sorry to report but there will not be a 2012 LX model. For the latest updates and information about Lexus and our vehicles, please visit www.lexus.com. ~ Ryan A., Lexus Customer Satisfaction"

Nope thats the Lexus corny way of having "sport" model which is comprised of lips added to front & rear bumper plus roof rails & 20-inch wheels. "Sport" version also available in middle east since 2010.
