Radar-Mirror.com Integrated Valentine One Installation
Thought I'd share some pics of my custom V1 install in case anyone wants to do this. The V1 is hidden inside the passenger headrest and the display is inside the rear view mirror. There's a separate control **** under the dash to turn everything on or off, adjust volume, etc. The work to the mirror and headrest was done by radar-mirror.com, the install on the LX took a couple of hours.
You can only see the display if it's turned on, the button on the bottom of the mirror is a mute switch for the V1.
The first step is installing the V1 hardwire kit - I found a switched wire and ground under the dash (sorry I didn't get a pic of the exact wire)
Next was installing the headrest (where the V1 is hidden) and running the cable to the remote control unit. The rj-11 cable is routed through the metal post of the headrest, it fed right into the seat and I was easily able to pull the panel on the back of the seat away to pull it through.
After the headrest was back in place I routed the cable to the bottom of the seat, under the center armrest console, under the driver seat and then along the floor trim up to the dash. The main V1 plugs into the back of the remote controller.
The last step is re-installing the mirror and running the cable from the mirror to the hardwire adapter. You can just pull down on the headliner and stuff the cable from the mirror inside. I removed the A pillar cover to make sure the wire didn't get in front of the airbag.

Laser won't function with the V1 in the headrest but all of the radar band detection operates normally with or without a passenger. The only thing that blocks the radar reception is metal.
