Default Anybody take their LX570 offroad?

So I just got a 2010 LX570 more for the utility side of things...I thought about a land cruiser, but the upgrade to lexus gave me more creature comforts without sacrificing the amazing offroad performance. Thus far, I haven't added much to it aside from the clear bra paint protector that extends almost up to the door handles all the way around the car so that rocks/grainy mud/brush won't scratch the paint when I take it offroad. Its done very well for being stock so far, but I want to do a few upgrades and I'm hoping someone else has or could point me in the right direction! Here is what I want to do:

1) Grill Guard/Cattle Guard. I know this sounds kinda hick-ish, but it can be a life saver to the front of the car when going offraod. I also need to make sure it wont screw with the view of the front camera, the parking sensors, or head lights.

2) Winch. Regardless of how well equiped any SUV is, they will eventually get stuck. Since I generally don't 4x4 with other 4x4s, I need to be able to save myself without having to pray a tow truck will come save me. I also want to get one that will be less likely to void any type of warranty on the more expensive parts of the car, especially since most winches draw power directly from the engine.

3) Any additional roof racks that would support gas cans, extra equipment and such without looking too bulky or risk scratching up the roof.

4) I'm open to other suggestions! I don't intend on taking the LX on the Rubicon, but it will encounter thick mud that will be at least half way up the tires, water up to the door lines, steep angles, ditches and minor rock climbing to get to the best hiking/camping/biking trails. Thank you for any help you can provide!

Check out ih8mud.com and look under the 200 series section. It's primarily landcruisers there but since the two vehicles are so similar it may help you out.

If you only have 1 mod to do to the LX570 to go offroad, that would be the tires, IMO. I recommend 17" rims with some decent offroad tires.

First would need to be tires either 17 or 18 or more agressive tred on the 20's.
May consider removing the side steps
look at the ARB bull bar for real grill protection
roof racks with gas can container will be bulky they do have some thin ones without the jerry can holders
I have a high lift jack which can be used as a winch very carefully

A good DVD to check out is bill burke "getting unstuck"

Tire really need to be adressed first.

Edit: need to get some RUD chains. They're good for mud too!!

TRD 17" rims will bolt right on, as will the LC's 18s, mud terrain tires are a must (BFG make a decent set), pretty sure you can run a 33" tire (will give 1/2" more clearance than stock) without the need for a lift but double check on that

I take mine to sand dunes
My mods are 17' LC steel wheels painted chrome for style with big wheels which we use for sand driving
every inche of my floor is cover with plastic (5mm thick) and my seats are covered as well
I like to play hard and keep my ride clean
