hello Jazz,
you would need a few things. For the map update, you need to buy the NAV update tool from one of lexus parts distributer, and you would need a map DVD (original), and a MAP key that only Lexus dealers here in the US have.
For the DRL, you would need the vectronix scan tool from the US to be able to customize the settings and turn off the DRL. But lexus does not support the scantool anymore and they use the techstream system which costs around $8000.
The navtool is worth around $1600, and the map key is around $400.
I was going to order everything but, didn't seem worth it to me.
let me know if you need more info.

You need the map dvd to load it on the navigation update tool using a computer, then you upload the map key to the navigation update tool, once you are done, you connect the navigation update tool to your car and then you can update the map on your navigation system. The Map key is only valid for one car.
The navigation update tool is the only way you can update the maps on the US-spec models.
Hope that helps

tigmd99, the US spec LX570 is equipped with the HDD navigation system, but the LX570 in other regions are DVD based navigation systems.
For example, the Gulf-spec that Plucky and ige own uses a DVD navigation system

Dear Sirs,
I have imported a GS300 , of the year 2000, how can I update the navigation system from US to the gulf? does it require the same procedure as for Jazz?
What about the front lights which are always on, how can somebody switched them off?
Regards
