Dents galore, everybody is OK !
My Wife just got home from a trip to LA (about 375 miles). In the last 30 miles, a piece of wood flew out of the back of a truck and smashed the windshield, dented the hood (pretty bad) and a small dent on the roof.
My Wife is still pretty shaken up but is a trooper and didn't freak out and swerve off the road.
The guy pulled over and is insured
I'm guessing a new windshield, new hood and repairs to pull out of the roof.
Any guesses on the bill?
I'll post some pics after she can load them, it's hard to tell the dents in the pic though.

Good call...but my parents 4runner had to have the windsheild replaced and does not have any wind noise.
With the OEM Lexus windsheild I think the heating grids for the wipers needs to be on there as well.

Theres a family that owns 3 shops in the area, their name is golden and they work very closely with Lexus. Ive gone to them for years and know the family well now.
Fortunate because it could have been much worse, the piece that flew out of the truck (it was a 2' x 2' wooden shelf) . Not sure if that could have pierced the windshield.

looks like it will be $5000-$7500.
I get the car back next Friday and have a Caddy DTS until then...(boooring). My wife chose to oust me from my GS because she's more comfortible in that.
The other guy's insurance company told me this morning that I was to find a comparable car and I had $30 per day and they wouldnt pay the $65 for the Caddy. I mentioned to the adjustor that I could rent a Range Rover which is comparable for $250 a day so to feel lucky I am content with the Caddy.
