God, no offense, but this is one hell of an ugly redesign. The interior has my vote but exterior, no! Whats wrong with these focus design groups that approve such ugly designs. Too bad its too late to send it back to the drawing board. BTW, why arent there any tinted rear windows???

Today I took a trip to the autoshow I must say I think it looks much better in person. I actually like it, it makes the LX 470 seem well old, not to say the LX 470 looks bad since it is my favorite SUV. The interior looks great and the exterior looks fine , i think if it was in different color it would look much better.

any new model vehicle will make the previous generation look old, if you know its the new style.

GS400s in good condition look brand new.

I like the LX570 the more I look at it, I was looking at a new Cayenne but the LX570 is now tops on my list as an upgrade. Nice job.

What kind of mileage and specs for speed are we talking for this new-bred beast? I'm thinkin' probably 14 in city at best and 18 highway, but that may be generous, as for the hypothetical LX 570L... can we say extinct dinosaur by 2015?

What the heck is the LX570L? Anyways, i would say look at the new 5.7L Tundra mileage specs and assume around that for estimates. Maybe 1-3mpg lower.

That's because it looks like the Cayenne, which has been discribed as one of the ugliest SUV's on the road since it came out. Kind of stupid of Lexus to copy something that has been ID'ed as ugly?

I think Cayennes with the cheap 18" standard rims looks pretty ugly but
with the 20-22" rims looks pretty nice especially in black. In photos Cayennes also look pretty ugly and do have some odd styling angles. I drove a new 'S' the other day and it looked pretty nice. I think this new LX will look nice on the road. I must admit, Im not fond of the RAV4 styling cues. Im just not sure what you can do with a big body on frame 8 seater SUV configuration on the styling side to please everyone.

OK, I'm looking at all the ugly and you are searching for the beauty. The problem with the 20" wheels is I don't like even the 18 inch wheels on my LX. 60 series tires is really pushing it and when they put 40's and 50's they are saying this is a road only vehicle. If that's the case you might was well go with a unibody SUV or a sedan. I think we will find that the best part of the new LX is that they are great in the drive train and interior and they won't be in high demand so their resale value will be down and you might be able to pick up a used on cheap in a few years. A black one then would be good because it would hide some of the style problems

The LX 570L would be the hypothetical stretched version of the LX, to possibly compete with Lincoln Navigator L, Cadillac Escalade ESV, and Mercedes-Benz GL 450. As for the 3rd row, it will be unfortunate that we are stuck with them in the back, however cargo space shouldn't be suspect. If LX 570L were to be built, it would have up to I'd say 28 cubic feet of storage behind the 3rd row. Possible hybrid version later on in the works?
