Hi - I have a 2013 LX 570 and the cool box won't stay shut. I suspect that one of the plastic pieces may have worn out. Has anybody encountered this? I am now taping the box shut so it doesn't constantly open when I drive. Below are some pictures of the box and latch components and would greatly appreciate any ideas. Thanks

From what I can see, looks like someone tried to force open the lid and toasted the lower box...latch on the lid looks identical to my 2013 box. Were I you, I'd want a clean AMEX card.

 

Thanks for your reply - I've got 3 kids and it's possible they could have damaged it. I guess there is no quick fix for this one.

 

Bummer - i would think this is a fairly easy part to replace. Has to be less than $100.

 

All that comes to mind as a temporary fix is adhesive Velcro...Walmart or any hardware store.

 

partsouq auto parts has the part. They're in the Middle East, are normally cheaper on parts than anyplace in the states, and they ship fast.
