This picture was take after removing the white plastic cushion tray (not leak proof). See the hole in the middle. If this was the 1990's, I would say that it drains out to the bottom of the car. Not sure where it drains to on this one. I'm not having too much confident here.
Thanks. I'll check mine out tomorrow. I'll try probing it with a length of weed whacker cord. There may be a collapsible rubber drain under the car, like those that run from sunroofs. I'll let you know what I find.
Interesting thing I just found, BTW. Since this thread got bumped up and picked up new viewers, the originally listed Amazon seller of these cooler trays sold out of them overnight. There is a second Amazon seller, however, who still lists 4 in stock.

Probed the hole to see where it led. Exits out of the bottom of the floor just above the catalytic converter. So it looks like any liquid that drains from the cooler exits the interior and drips onto the top of the catalytic converter where it likely evaporated very quickly if the engine is running. Without a lift and a mirror or fiberoptic scope to see over the top of the converter, I can't tell whether there is any type of tube with a seal, of whether the cooler is just installed directly over a hole through the floor pan.
Just returned my console. I have the 16 LC and the lip of the console overlaps the foam lip seal. It is matter of time before it gets damage as the edges are not the smoothest. If the lip would overlap completely may be it would work. Since only partially it will eventually rip the foam seal. Also the plastic seems to be cheap. Not impressed at all.

My lip is hardly rough enough to cause the damages you are talking about and see no harm in using this in my 2016 LX.
It it is good we all have choice. It has changed my console storage area for the best!

I purchased and as expected, it fits the 2016 LX perfectly & can be removed quickly/easily. I love the homage to Land Cruiser however the rubber pad on the bottom is removable should you choose.
Be nice to have that here! Dumb MD law ensures that only criminals can carry here. Annoying but not planning on staying here forever. Got the Utah permit ready.

Idaho has always been shall-issue. Constitutional carry for residents of Idaho was passed and became effective July 1 this year. No bloodbaths or evidence of the wild west at this time. You can still get an enhanced carry permit here...2 +'s even in a constitutional carry state: 1. You get reciprocity with 37 other states. 2. If you're stopped for any reason by law enforcement, presenting the permit (which you're required to do) demonstrates that generally you're not a criminal. I shoot with a few local sheriff's deputies and a lieutenant in the Idaho State Police lives up the block...all find folks with guns as normal for the state, until proven otherwise. Idaho LE generally tends not to negotiate for days with perps...point a gun at an Idaho cop and you'll meet your Maker momentarily.
