305-50R20 Tires on OEM rims?
I am just about ready to buy new tires for our 2010 LX 570. I already picked up a set of OEM rims from a 2013 LX I will use and I was thinking of going up a size on the tires.
Right now I am looking at the Michelin Latitude Tour HP in 305-50R20. Has anyone tried that size? Any issues with rubbing? Thanks. |
A guy on www.ih8mud.com has them on his 200 series. Said he had a small rub on mud flap but it was a easy fix. Get on the Mud site and do a search 305/50/20 several posts about them.

I did see that thread on mud but he has them on a Land Cruiser. I was hoping to find someone running that size on an LX.

I have Pirelli Scorpion Zero 305/40ZR22's on my 2013. The rims and tires were put on by the dealer prior to purchase. There is a slight rub when the wheel is turned 100% out of a parking spot when in Low. If I wait the 30 seconds for the car to get to Neutral or don't crank the wheel there is no rubbing. But these are 22 not 20's.

How's the ride on the 22's?

The ride isn't bad although it is my first experience with the LX so I only have a test drive with stock tires to compare it too and I didn't really notice the difference. In purchasing the vehicle I was trying to combine the usability of my 4Runner with the luxury of my old BMW X5 4.6is. I was disappointed because I was expecting the car to drive like the BMW, which it doesn't but I expect to get much more from the car overall. It did great this winter up in Telluride.
