Steering wheel end point and traction control
 

Hi

I have a 2013 LX 570 and bumped the left front wheel pretty hard against a sizable rock and now the traction control is off and the steering wheel is slanted.

The LX still tracks straight and no drifts. All seems fine except for the the steering wheel angle off about 45 degrees to the right and the traction control is off.

Does anyone know how to recalibrate the steering wheel endpoints on LX570?

Reason I ask is my prev ride had these adjustments avaiable via simple owner initiated procedures...

welcome to clublexus and sorry to hear about your problem.

for the steering wheel, maybe you should do an alignment check. if it's just shifted it can be adjusted. but 45 degrees that's quite a bit. maybe should check if any of the arms are bent. for teh traction control, my bet is the sensor might be broken? that might be a bit expensive

i think first it really depends on what's broken (if at all). if it's the sensor at the wheel (i believe a sensor at each wheel / hub), then it's matter of getting the parts (still not cheap). lexus cars are overall pretty easy to work on imho, of course depends on how hands on you are. you can always sign up at TIS for 2 days for like 15 bucks to get the details you want.

imho the hardest part is to diagnose where and what the problem is

I would take it in asap. sounds like something is bent and you could be eating up expensive rubber.
