Thinking about putting 18in wheels on my 2020 LX in place of the 21 in wheels that came on it, trying to get a smoother ride. Anyone with experience with the 18 in wheels; dealer says can not do it and will make ride worse, as the 18 in are just for off road; makes no sense. Thanks

 

I run 18's on my summer and winter tires. You will get a softer ride with 18s as long as you don't go with LT tires. You will have more sidewall flex so it won't corner quite as well. LTs will have stiffer sidewalls so will more more like the 21s ride wise.

 

I have a 2019 LX. I have 18” Landcruiser takeoffs on my vehicle. No issues. Find a new dealer.
