Default Shopping winter tires

We purchased a 2018 LX 570 in February with all season tires and a brand I can't decipher. It looks something like NT4 blah blah. After driving cross country for 10k miles I've had it aligned 3 times, once by Toyota and twice by Lexus, but it continues to pull and steer with difficulty. The last Lexus service advisor said we should replace the tires because when they moved the left front to the right front the car stopped pulling to the right. We live at a 3,200 foot elevation in the NW Cascades and my knee jerk to fix this is to purchase Michelin ICE for the winter, and buy new again in the Spring. What do you use on your comparable LX and how has your experience been .. ie: ride, tracking, steering ease?

I think the Blizzaks are a much better tire than the X-Ice.
For all around use many on the Mud forum are running Michelins

They are not aggressive looking but are a pretty good AT replacement.
I ran them all over the Ouray/Silverton trails last year with no issues.

I switched to the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 tires for my 2018 LX 570 last fall and am very happy with them. I have the two-row with 20-inch wheels. I live at 7500 ft altitude in Monument, CO, where Winter is long and can be very unkind. So far, these tires handle pretty deep snow, unpaved mountain roads, and icy road conditions well enough that I opted not to invest in a separate set of specific Winter tires. My motto in bad weather is slow and steady. I have been impressed with the improved sidewall grip tuning on ice and snow with these, even in a tiny traffic circle leaving our development that slopes downward and is never plowed well, if at all. I'm sure you've already discovered that the LX 570 is very capable in all conditions. I've found these tires to have only very slight road noise compared to the super quiet Michelin touring tires I'd been using. I bought my M/S2's at Discount Tire, but brought them to the dealer to mount since it was time for a service visit anyway. Enjoy your vehicle no matter what "shoes" you buy for it.

Thanks for your post. That would make a lot of sense and save me wrangling the summer/winter tires up onto a shelf in my garage twice a year!

Defender LTX M/S2 is a 3-season tire keep that in mind, they are not replacements for dedicated winter tires.
