Can anyone please advise on the issue with the steering wheel not going in and out? It goes up and down but not in and
out anymore. I believe, after doing research that it could be a gear that may be bad on the steering column part that moves
the wheel in and out. Has anyone else repaired this? Does anyone know the part number or where I can get one?
I would like to have it before tackling the project if possible.
Hey man, I have the same problem. I’ve attached a picture of the gear but can’t seem to source it anywhere yet. Lexus dealership doesn’t have that part as a purchase option by itself. Really need to find an aftermarket gear supplier or else it’s gonna be about $300 on eBay to buy the whole telescopic Steering system.
