Default Rear AC issue + question

2010 LX570 - just noticed that the rear air is coming out fine (at proper temp and proper fan speed) out of the ceiling vents, but not blowing hard out of the 2 vents at the back of the center console (where 2nd row passengers can control the temp and fan speed). With fan speed at highest setting, it feels like it's blowing out at the lowest setting but only out of those 2 vents. Any ideas?

may want to switch / toggle the botton that directs air to 'up/straight/down'

I believe you are likely referring to the switch that points whether the air is going to your head, mid section, or feet..? If so, I am seeing that it's at the "head" setting according to the screen up front where I can control and see what's happening with rear air. And with the air flow blowing at max speed out of the ceiling, it leads me to believe that the setting is correct as there wouldn't be any reason for those to be blowing if it was on feet. I'll triple check it and make sure what I'm seeing as a driver is the same setting as what the small rear screen at the back of the center console. It's just weird that there is a difference in fan speed from the ceiling vents and those other ones.

Update: I checked and fan setting for rear is at the head position. Still a descrepancy of fan speed from ceiling vents compared to the 2 vents behind the center console. Will take to indy for a look in a week or so, temps are climbing in FL so need to have this ready for the heat..

I faced a similar issue few years ago. Kids were complaining about air not blowing enough in third row. The culprit was the intake vent in left rear. A shopping bag was pulled in by intake and blocking all the air for rear AC.

Hello. I have this same exact issue. The rear center console vents seem to be stuck at the lowest air flow speed regardless of the speed setting I place them on.

Were you able to find the cause or fix?

Thanks!
