Checking out a 1999 LX470...
So, I have been looking at Landcruisers but I am now really interested in the LX 470. I found one that I drove around that runs smooth. It has 205,000 miles on it.
Here is a little history on it:
1st owner had it for 8 years and put on around 140,000 miles.
2nd owner has had it for about 10 years and put on 60,000 miles
This owner bought it just about a year ago and is going thru a divorce and is selling it now.
All of the receipts showing the regular maintenance work as well as the oil changes for the past decade.
New radiator
New front axles
New water pump
Serpantine and timing belt (same thing or separate) done
Suspension work inspected, fluids flushed and replaced and running well
Clean inside
New tires and new roof rack
They are asking $8,500 for it. Is that a crazy price or does that seem reasonable? I was thinking more in the $7,000 but maybe I am off on it? Any advice or thoughts on it?

Serpentine belt is visible at the front of the engine, timing belt is under the engine front cover...recommended replacement of the TB is 90K and right around $1K or so depending on who does the work. Serp belt is $40 or so and it's a diy.
Sorry but I can't help with pricing...I'd suggest asking the question on the 100 series forum on ih8mud.com. https://forum.ih8mud.com/forums/100-series-cruisers.26/

That seems a bit high for a 99LX, but if in good condition and well maintained it will be what you think it is worth. The timing belt will be at 90k since last replaced, and spark plugs will be at 120k intervals. KBB is a good starting point on typical values in your area. I tend to prefer the 2000 and newer with the ATRAC and some improved components. Some like the earlier years to avoid ATRAC.
