2004 LX470 - Climate Control, Trip Info and Temp Guage, Gear indicator issues
We drove to WA over this Thanksgiving weekend to help our daughter settle into her new house. As we were leaving I noticed the climate control panel was blank and I had no way to turn the defroster on. When I pressed the climate button, the message check a/c connection was displayed in the screen. The trip ino screen had nothing in the values for milage, distance etc.
In a related but separate issue, the temp guage was reading and the gear indicator was not lit. When I stopped for fuel, the A/T temp and battery light came on. Other than these systems not working, the car ran fine.
As we made our way home, the A/T temp and battery lights turned off about 100 miles later. Occasionally the climate control/trip info would come back on, then off again. Same with the gear indicator and temperature guage. Always in the paring described.
On a subsequent fuel stop, the A/T temp and battery lights came back on but were reset when I turned the ignition off/on at the next stop.
Sorry for the long post. I'm not sure where to start tracking this down. I am grateful for any information or suggestions.
Thank you,

Any Update?
I know this post is really old but I'm wondering if you ever figured out this issue? I started to have similar problems with my LX (as I was leaving WA, no less) and I'm still looking for answers.

I never did find the cause. The issue stopped on the drive home to California. The only thing I can think of, is how the car was parked for 4 days on a hill with it raining the entire time. I guess maybe water got into something and was causing the issue. It has never happened again after that weekend. Best of luck in resolving your issue.
